5 Clothing Fabrics Best for Your Summer Outfits

During Summer, the amount of air that can pass through your clothes is key! More airflow means your body heat isn't retained by the fabric as much, and more cool breezes keep you cool. The weave and thickness of the fabric can tell you how breathable it is. Holding it up to the light and seeing through it is a good way to see if it's breathable; the more light it lets through, the more breathable it is. There are numerous alternatives for breathable materials.

1. Linen

When it comes to breathable fabrics, it doesn't get much better than linen. The disadvantage is that you'll pay more than you would for cotton, it wrinkles badly (blends assist), and it's frequently see-through. When it comes to wrinkles, the easiest approach to cope with them is to just accept them, especially if it's a shirt. The same goes for see-through, but you may combat it with a breathable undershirt made of synthetic or merino wool. Also worth a shot are Irish Linen and Hemp. It's similar to linen, but it's of superior quality.

2. Cotton

The most common fabric is still in use. Cotton can be quite breathable; but, as previously stated, pay attention to the weave and thickness. Madras and chambray weaves are particularly breathable. Of course, you may always check with the light test.

3. Hopsack

A fairly open weave that can be used for a variety of fabrics, including suits and other items.

4. Silk

Silk, according to a few users, is also a good option. According to my preliminary investigation, it does not appear to be as breathable as cotton or linen, but I'm sure there are breathable alternatives.

5. Seersucker

Seersucker is a form of cotton that is more breathable than regular cotton. It also has a semi-wrinkled sort of look, but not nearly as bad as linen, but just enough to look unique. However, a lot of seersucker clothing has very particular stripes, which might be distracting.
